standard deviations. Given that most offset are at max close to the upper limit
of 4umol/kg there is not enough evidence for an adjustment. Note that the data

Not one open ocean crs has an offset below 1 and the one crs with a nice match
is TH2008 which itself received a 15% upward ajdustment… All other crs have a

Note that the data is very spready! Only two offsets are above one (74AB1991
received a downward adjustment although Tanhua did not conclude that in an
earlier assesment. Also the offset with HU1995 diminshes with depth). Other than
that do all crs show quite a strong offset below 1 independant of depth,
location and time. Adjust upward according to weighted mean offset of 0.97.

Most weighted offsets are a bit misleading. At depth the offset usually dimish.
Further, note the huge std of some of the largerst offsets. Lastly, many large
offsets are based on questionable crossovers (e.g. 64PE1996 or 18HU1995). All in
all it seems worse than it actually is. Nonetheless, all standard deviations are
very large making this still a very uncertain analysis. Maintain.
